Desiring God Part 2

After Ferguson finished his message, he was joined by Piper and Driscoll for a panel discussion. There was way too much knowledge flowing around on that stage to capture it all, but here are some quotes that I was able to take down. Let me know some of your favorites...

Quotes from Panel Discussion between Sinclair Ferguson, Mark Driscoll, and John Piper
· What you say is instant, constant, global, and permanent. -Driscoll
· Afflictions may correct you, but they also can make you more sensitive to Christ.
-Ferguson
· Criticism is, “You were this, but you should be this.” -Ferguson
· Our words are not the grounds for our acceptance with God. Justification by faith alone.
-Piper
· He who spoke the righteousness with His tongue is imparted to my tongue. -Piper
· Speaking on the Atonement, “This is what Jesus did so that you might be able to live.”
-Piper
· Those who give away the cross, give up conversion. All you are left with are very Pagan
people in powerless churches. -Driscoll
· When you destroy the wrath of God, you destroy the heights of joy one will experience for
the forgiveness of sin. -Ferguson
